2010/2011 Budget Hearing Meeting Dates

Notice is hereby given that Finance Chair, Daniel Davis will meet with the Finance Committee members in Council Chambers located at 117 W. Duval St., 1st Floor, St. James Building on the following dates to discuss the 2010-2011 Budget.

Thurs., 8/12/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Thurs., 8/19/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Thurs., 8/26/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Right of Way and Grounds Maintenance Division

This division has 435 employees that maintain streets, highways, drainage facilities and city landscaping.  It also provides and maintains traffic control devices including street lights and traffic signals.

Division staff maintains 1,150 traffic signals, more than 5,200 linear miles of drainage ditches, over 200 bridges, 177 stormwater ponds and 3,619 miles of roadways.  In addition, it manages landscaping services for all city buildings/facilities and grounds maintenance for more than 6,500 acres of public land.

Budget:

In 2010, the budget for this division is $84,069,450.
