2010/2011 Budget Hearing Meeting Dates
Notice is hereby given that Finance Chair, Daniel Davis will meet with the Finance Committee members in Council Chambers located at 117 W. Duval St., 1st Floor, St. James Building on the following dates to discuss the 2010-2011 Budget.
Thurs., 8/12/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
Thurs., 8/19/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
Thurs., 8/26/10 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Community Planning Division
This division monitors, maintains and amends the city’s comprehensive plan which manages the planning of capital facilities, land use, parks, historic preservation and neighborhoods, as well as long-range transportation plans. This division has 30 employees.
This year it is focusing on workplace housing issues, the health of the St. Johns River, transportation and land use compatibilities. Division staff will complete the development of district vision plans for Southeast Jacksonville, Arlington and the Urban Core. It will also implement policy recommendations found in the Evaluation and Appraisal Report of the 2010 Comprehensive Plan.
Budget:
In 2010, the budget for the Community Planning Division is $3,147,375.
